Cardiff and Vale UHB are working together with GLL Better Leisure Centres in Cardiff and Barry Leisure Centre to provide water-based exercise sessions to help you prepare for, or recover from, orthopaedic surgery such as hip and knee replacements.
One way of keeping active and getting your joints moving whilst waiting for surgery is to do water-based exercises such as swimming, walking in the pool or pool-based exercise classes.

Good Boost technology makes sure everyone can benefit from aquatic activity to maximise their health and wellbeing by moving more, having fun and feeling better.
Individuals use water-proof tablets to guide them through an exercise programme, designed around their needs. This is done in a group session, with people working through their set of exercises, at their own pace.
