What is MSK?

Musculoskeletal refers to the muscles, bones, ligaments, tendons and joints.

Musculoskeletal disorders can include the results of trauma or injury (such as sprains and strains of joints and ligaments, fractures) or more gradual onsets such as back pain or tendon (Achilles / tennis elbow) problems.

MSK problems are common cause of pain and disability and Physiotherapy has a role in the identification, diagnosis and management of most of them.
