What does Cardiff and Vale offer?

If you have concerns that you or someone close to you may have PD please contact your GP.

Currently the services supporting people with PD are adapting and changing, but we are still here.

There are two separate multi-disciplinary teams for people with PD and you will be managed by the team best positioned to support you. 

  • The Parkinson’s Disease Specialist Service provide multi-disciplinary support for patients under the Directorate of Clinical Gerontology (Consultants Dr Biju Mohamed and Dr Chris Thomas).

  • Therapy services, such as physiotherapy, are currently accessed via the PD Clinic or Elderly Care Assessment Unit (ECAS). Day Hospital has reopened but has reduced capacity due to COVID-19 and social distancing.
