All the pieces need to be in place and work well together to lower your chance of falling.

Age Connects Café – Holton Road, Barry | All our staff and volunteers are trained as Dementia Friends and they consider all of their activities as dementia friendly. This service is for people aged 60+.

Physical Opportunities

Golden Pass Scheme – Vale of Glamorgan | This project offers Vale residents aged 60+ the opportunity to access eight free sessions of sport and physical activity in their community.

The Active Leisure Scheme | is an initiative designed to encourage people aged 50 and over to take part in regular physical activity.

Tai Chi | Tai Chi has health benefits regardless age or levels of fitness.

Home Safety

Care & Repair Cymru | is a Welsh charity helping older people to live independently through repairs, adaptations and home maintenance. 

Preventing falls in your home | RoSPA is a leading voice in health and safety that campaigns to reduce avoidable accidents at home, on the road, at work and at leisure.
