Child Development and Health Psychology
Children’s Psychology services come under the bigger umbrella of services called Children, Young People & Family Health Services.
Children’s Community Psychology Services provide a wide range of services in Cardiff and Vale Health Board, and across the community, including schools.
We meet with young people (under eighteen) and their families to help with a range of experiences. We provide high quality and integrated care to children with disabilities and complex needs, those with developmental difficulties, behavioural difficulties and emotional wellbeing and mental health concerns, as well as children and young people in special circumstances such as those in care.
We offer training and support to schools and other professionals involved in children’s and young people’s lives (e.g. health professionals or social workers).
We also provide a service at Noah’s Ark Hospital for children and families, who have physical health needs and attend the hospital.
