Thoughts and Emotions When In Pain

Self referral

Seeing a physiotherapist can be helpful if things are not settling down with your management strategies e.g. painkillers, heat and exercise. They will be able to assess the problem and advise if further investigation may be helpful.

Sometimes manual therapy (joint manipulation or mobilisation) may help with some temporary pain relief whilst you are recovering. They will also be able to give you some advice to try and prevent the problem coming back.
