Occupational Therapy in the Crisis Recovery Unit

The Crisis Recovery Unit is part of the Crisis Recovery Home Treatment (CRHT) service for Cardiff and the Vale.

We are a mental health day unit based at University Hospital Wales in Cardiff, open seven days a week. We provide a flexible and responsive assessment and treatment service.

What is the role of Occupational Therapists in the Crisis Recovery Unit?

  • We provide assessment and therapeutic intervention.
  • We provide a more intensive and consistent therapy that may not be available in a community-based setting.

If you are already being supported by the Crisis Recovery Home Treatment team, this outpatient unit may be able to support you in a safe environment without you having to become an inpatient.
