Occupational Therapy in the Mental Health Rehabilitation Service

The Mental Health Rehabilitation service is made up of three units – one within Hafan y Coed Mental Health Unit and the other two based within the community.

We offer different levels of mental health support and intensity of treatment based on your needs, delivered through individually tailored care plans.

What is the role of Occupational Therapists in the Mental Health Rehabilitation Service?

Occupational Therapists work across these three units to offer individual assessment and support to help you overcome the barriers that you face and return to doing things that you find meaningful.

Referrals
Referrals for the Mental Health Rehabilitation Services usually come from other inpatient services.  All referrals are discussed by the Rehabilitation Service at a regular team meeting.
