The Occupational Therapy Team within St David’s Hospital provides person-centred rehabilitation services across three medical wards: Rhydlafar, Landsdowne and Elizabeth.
Our patients are usually over 65 and admitted from larger hospitals for further rehabilitation.
Occupational therapists work with people with a range of short and long-term medical conditions, as well as those who need end-of-life care. We aim to help people to regain and maintain skills, promote active participation in everyday activities, and prevent future hospital admissions.
Following specialist assessment, we rehabilitate patients by enabling them to engage in their daily occupations. We also refer individuals to community services to promote their independence and safety at home.
