Healthy Living

This is the fourth session of the Prepare Well Orthopaedics programme.

Certain behaviours and habits can have a significant impact on your health.

In this session we talk about how making small, positive changes can have real benefit and help you live a longer, healthier life. This is particularly important when you are preparing for surgery, to make you fitter, stronger and more psychologically prepared for surgery.

Some behaviours you can change for the better include:

  • Reducing or stopping smoking
  • Increasing your physical activity
  • Eating healthy foods
  • Reducing the amount of alcohol you drink
  • Having all relevant vaccinations

Join us for the Prepare Well Orthopaedics Programme to discuss this content further and how to live healthier.
