Lower Body Stretches

With some long term conditions you may experience some tightening of your muscles especially in your lower limbs. Keeping flexible and maintaining your joint range of movement is important for a number of reasons.

Stretching can help reduce pain, spasms, muscle tightness and reduce the chance of developing a fixed tightening of muscle, tendons, ligaments, or skin, known as contractures. 

Here are some examples of stretches that you can follow to maintain your joint range and muscle flexibility. Daily stretching will help you to avoid further complications to your condition
