Taking care of your feet
Here are our helpful hints for good foot care:
- Keep feet clean and dry - especially between your toes
- Check feet regularly for cuts or sores, redness, swelling or bruising
- Get to know your feet well and know what is normal
- Apply moisturiser if your skin is dry to prevent it from cracking and improve its texture
- File dry or hard skin using a foot file or pumice stone

Look after your feet
If you have a problem which does not improve as you would expect with self-care, you should contact a healthcare professional for advice. This may be your GP, Pharmacist, NHS Podiatry Service or a Private Podiatrist.
Please make sure your podiatrist is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and look out for the letters HCPC after their name.
